At DH last job it cost us $300/month for just the 2 of us....since he has taken a different job and for the first 3 months his company doesn't offer him insurance so we have to go on mine....but my insurance is all high deductible (which is TERRIBLE!) and for the cheapest plan (a 4950 deductible PER PERSON!) we still have to pay 150/month. Upgrading to the family plan would mean I would pay $478 a month. My company covers 75% of insurance costs but luckily, DH negotiated with his company to cover our remaining 25% since he isn't taking coverage with his company.
