@Mrs. Jacks: Yep, he's just a peanut. He eats like a horse and it just small. But his growth is great, so that makes me happy.

@littlek: I mean, T is still 5th for weight and 15th for height (15 lbs 12 oz and 27 inches at almost 9 months old). But our doctor is happy and I feel like he's gotten so big. He's in 9 months clothes and we had lunch the other day and a 9 month old baby was sitting next to us and didn't look much bigger.

@winniebee: nice!!! I'm interested to see how B is doing even though I always leave the pediatrician sad about his percentiles.

You can look at the growth curves to see the slow down visually represented. They really flatten out after a little while.

Edited to add: Lala is tracking along in the 4th %ile. I think that's just who she is :)

I'm happy to report that at 9 months old, my little peanut has continued to gain a pound a month (and has tripled his birth weight). Maybe he'll bust out of the 5th percentile by his 1st birthday!

Toddler X doubled his birth weight at 6 months. Then, from 6-12 months, Toddler X only gained 2lbs. But that still keeps him on his growth curve (his pediatrician uses the WHO charts).

DD's growth has slowed down at 4 months. Here's her weight gain so far:

Birth - 1 mon: 2 lbs
1 - 2 months: 2.4 lbs
2 - 3 months: 2.14 lbs
3 - 3/4 months: 1.6 lbs
3 3/4 - 5 months: 1.14 lbs

She's been eating better and I think she just went through a growth spurt. She has an appointment next week, even though she doesn't turn 6 months until the end of Dec. I'm looking forward to seeing if I'm right about her growth spurt.

Hmmm. I am not sure.
I know that she has gained 7 lbs since she was born and has not yet doubled her birth weight.

I think she gained 2 pounds between the four month and six month check up.

She doubled her weight at around 5 months (15 lbs) and at 7.5 months she is at 17.6lbs. Her weight gain has definitely slowed down, but the nurse said it was pretty normal after the 6 month mark.

P didn't have that "good" initial growth due to severe tongue tie & food intolerances so she's gained about a lb per month from birth. At her 6 mths appt she weighed 12.4 lb and at 34 weeks (2 weeks shy of 8 mths) she weighed 14 lb even so still on her normal gain track.

We still nurse ALOT through the day though and she's not real fond of solids so she's getting a lot more calories than she may have if she was eating more solids & nursing less.

I feel like I've read that babies' growth slows a little after 6 months. Did you experience this? My son gained 2 lbs per month during his first 2 months and then a little over a pound a month in months 3 and 4 and then since then it's been about a pound a month (he's 6.5 months).

Did you notice a growth pattern and what was it?
