Not a bday party but we are having about 50 people over on Sunday for R's baptism. 12 are kids, but still lots of people. We are getting bque catered for $276. Plus desserts. Then I have to buy the beer, tea, and sodas.

I probably spend close to $200 for 25-35 people. We always have a lot of leftovers, which I don't mind eating the next day.

We came out to about $300 for her first birthday for 40 including everything. Food, snacks, drinks/beer, cakes, etc.

Which is $7.40 pp!

LO's birthday party is a couple of weeks away and I started the grocery shopping. Of course I made sure to only buy things that will last, I'll buy the fresh things the day before. Last year I think I spent $100ish on food and then I bought her birthday cake too. This year I'll probably end up spending the same amount, but I'm baking the cupcakes. It seems like a lot.... but it comes out to about $4 per person.
