We or my aunt made all the food except for the cake served at the family party (my mom had a really good coupon for a great bakery). At my in-laws we had about 15 people total. The birthday really just included a monkey cake and some presents from my in-laws and BIL/SIL.<br /> At my parents, we combined it with Easter, and it was more of the same. There were more people there, since my stepmom has a huge family, but we really just celebrated the birthday with cake. </p> <p>Birthday's weren't a big deal when I was growing up. We had about 50 people (only a few babies/toddlers), pizza/salad/pasta, cookie favors (my sis made), 2 tier birthday cake, cotton candy &amp; popcorn machines, homemade flower centerpieces, balloon decor and a photographer... it was about $1200 total.</p> <p>DD 2's will be at home and we are expecting about 50 adults and 15 babies/kids. We're having it catered, planning a small dessert table and 2 tier birthday cake. We are also renting cotton candy and snow cone machines, a big bouncy house w/ ball pit and slide for toddlers, two generators, tents for shade, and tables and chairs. I'm making goodie bags, a banner and poms. A florist will make the centerpieces and a photographer is coming also. I'm making pretty much everything. I already made tons of tissue paper flowers, and used things I had around the house as vases. I bought some stuff at the dollar store for decorations and plates, etc. I found favors for the kids on sale during easter (it's garden themed so I took advantage of all the flowery things) and I'm making cookies for the adult favors.
