update: between the morning and night pumps, i've made up the difference, but OMG, DD2 (4 months) must really be eating overnight, because she was up 3-4 times the last 2 nights! i'm dying now! so tired! going to dream feed her tonight, and just pump one last time before i get on the road. i'm bringing ear plugs and my eye mask and sleeping in this weekend (as much as possible on a vegas bachelorette party!)

Wow, I'm jealous of how much you all get! I think my supply is pretty well matched to DDs demand at this point (7 months), so I only get 1, maaayyybe 2 ounces after nursing.

Totally depends. Yesterday I pumped after he ate in the morning and I got 9 ounces! Today I pumped after an afternoon feed and got 2.5 ounces....

I only pump in the morning after she eats, and get about 2-6 ounces depending on if she slept through the night or not... She's 4 months.

I pumped every morning right after nursing but my body was used to that pump so I would get like 4 ounces per side! Eventually that dropped to 2 per side at the end.

I get anywhere between 5 and 2 ounces, however my little dude has a tongue tie and isn't nursing effectively. So, I turn around and give him what I have pumped in a bottle.
@birdofafeather: how are you taking the fennel essential oil?

I got around what you said - anywhere from .5-2 oz usually. I took Milk Thistle pills too and that helped my production quite a bit!

@birdofafeather it totally sucked, actually. I had to buy a deep freezer, I have donated a bunch. I have read on Kellymom, etc. that 0.5 - 2 oz is the norm for most women so I think it sounds like you're actually producing quite a bit.

@MrsADS: hot dang! I was very leaky/full constantly with DD1, but I guess my supply is just keeping with what DD2 takes in!

Before my supply really regulated, I would get 8-12 ounces after our first morning feed.

A looooot. But I had major oversupply, I think from having to pump when DS was hospitalized at 3 days old and my milk was just coming in. He wasn't nursing and I was terrified my milk supply would therfore tank. So I pumped every 2 to 3 hrs round the clock until he was back nursing again. Like before I could feed him in the middle of the night I'd have to pump like 12 oz BEFORE I could nurse him, so I didn't drown him with milk!

He's 6 months now and through various techniques my supply is more normal. Still oversupply but manageable. I usually have to pump one side in the morning too manage engorgement, and maybe once overnight if it's bad. And I try to only pump long enough to relieve the pressure, not to empty.

I only pump right after feeding in the MOTN around 3 or 4 because DS only has a quick snack before falling back to sleep. I can get 3-4 oz per breast at that time.

@Ms.Badger: @MUI831: @hilsy85: I'm still doing a dream feed when I can/remember so I'll pump during that time instead! Hopefully that alone makes up the difference but I'll keep pumping after each feed today and tomorrow just in case! I also found some formula samples that I can use in case I don't make it. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize I was so far away from making the mark! I'm glad this is baby two or else I'd probably be freaking out.

Depends what time of day, but usually around .5-1oz from each breast. I also do the pre-bed pump and usually get 4 oz.

It depends on what feeding I was pumping after and how old my LO was. I could get another 4-6 oz at times if I pumped after my first feed in the morning. In the evening, I would get nothing. Like @Ms.Badger, I always pump before I go to bed and usually get about 3-5 oz.

Does your LO have a long-enough first stretch of sleep to pump between bed time and first MONT wake-up? I never pumped after feeding but did this before bed pump until like 6 mo and would get 3-5 oz.

Currently trying to build a stash by this weekend because I'm going away for 2.5 days for a bachelorette party. I think I'm 20 oz short (!!) so I'm pumping like a madwoman after each feed. Currently getting .5-2 oz depending on the time so no idea if I'm gonna make it or not! Using fennel and basil essential oils along with drinking water and mother's milk tea to up my chances.

If you ever pumped after nursing, how much did you get afterward?
