We get free cable (whatever our tv can pull from the air, which is actually a lot - ABC, NBC, TLC, MTV, Food Network...) plus we have Amazon Prime and Netflix. We pay $35.50 per month for the internet, $8 for Netflix, and roughly $8/mo for Amazon Prime (If you break it down monthly, though it's billed annually). We pay £20 per month for internet (unlimited), phone, and cable tv plus TiVo.....that works out to about $30 USD. I would suggest just using Hulu first and then if you discover that you are running into the "aw man, thats just for plus users" you can upgrade. I actually signed up for it last March, but Dh got cold feet about switching and made me cancel. I'm pretty sure they already had installed the line though. I think they quoted me around $120-130 with extra boxes. Still better than we are paying now though and I expect the internet would be better. Our Comcast isn't that great. Also, Fios came with DVR, which we don't currently have. @mrs. wagon: Wow, that is a super awesome deal! We pay $57 for Time Warner Cable internet, this is awful, but our other option I heard is worse :( We go back and forth about canceling cable all together and using Hulu Plus, apps, Netflix, but DH is a sports fanatic and doesn't think ESPNGo is enough for him to survive on.
