It would be $13.04/hour without before care (8:30 dropoff). The rate per hour goes up for fewer days per week but we use all five.</p> <p>We pay our sitter $14/hr for three afternoons per week, and my parent watch him for free two afternoons per week.</p> <p>So, the average technically works out to $10.08/hr for 60 hours of coverage per week, but we never drop him off at exactly 7am -- and a couple times per week I drop him off around 8:30 -- and I almost always get home earlier than 7pm. If I don't include the free grandparent care, then the average for the paid time is $12.61/hr. And realistically it's more like $14.40/hr if I divide by the amount of hours we actually use rather than what we are eligible to use.
