@MungBean: I typically do Amazon Mom + Subscribe and Save + a coupon. I bought a box of these in size 1 (234 count) for $34.75 which is 14.9 cents a diaper.

I've also bought some from Diapers.com and Drugstore.com when there are good deals going on.

@autumnlove: I LOVE them. They're so great.

@anonysquire: Several reasons. If you had met me a year ago I was SO gung-ho YES cloth is best I WILL do it! I was so excited and so committed. I even got my sister into it! If I was told that 7 months into it I would be quitting, I wouldn't have believed it.
So know that I took the decision VERY seriously.

I invested a lot of money into CD'ing. I bought a whole stash of Fuzzibunz and loved them... until I put them on my week old son and he developed blistering rashes on his bottom. We had to switch back to sposies. Then we tried again at 4 weeks and he was doing better, we still had to apply cream to his bottom.
Then his diapers were leaking like crazy. We kept trying to readjust the diapers and experimented with multiple size settings... nothing worked. We used some hemp inserts, still leaked. I was so confused.

So we sprung to buy a whole NEW CD system, and sold some of the FB's. Well, we come to find that this new system leaked too. OMG I was SO frustrated and upset.

We ended up spending $700 on cloth diapering because we couldn't find anything that worked for us. And that was just one frustration.

DS's clothes didn't fit right, he was getting multiple rashes, I had to do laundry every day and now that we have moved to an apartment building with a community laundry room and have to pay for laundry... I just cannot justify it anymore. The $1 to wash $1 to dry would make CD'ing more expensive than sposies with how much I've invested into it already.

FWIW I LOVED bumgenius and they were the only pocket diaper I tried that didn't leak. I had only two and not enough $$ to buy a whole new system. The GroVia AI2 system didn't leak either (but the AIO's did) and neither did the prefolds/covers system.

I had a mish mash of diapers but it turned out to be too expensive and not worth the frustration. I really, really wish it could have worked because I think I could have loved it.

sorry that was a little long-winded!

About $20? She's at daycare 3 days a week and they provide diapers and wipes so that helps a lot. At home we don't use disposable wipes. Only when we're out.

We use Huggies Little Movers and Overnites.

I haven't closely monitored but roughly 50/month in pampers (swadllers for day and baby dry for night) and probably 20/month on wipes. I tend to change his diapers very frequently during the day though.

@Coco Bee: Can I ask why you are switching from cloth? When I have a baby I want to cloth so just wondering about it.

@Coco Bee: $30/month is $360 a year! I say it's worth it if you like the product equally (or even if you don't...) :-)

@sunny: I've been using 7th gen since we stopped cd'ing and love it. hmmm maybe I should look into that if it would be $30 cheaper.

I buy Pampers through Amazon and have been paying 12-15 cents per diaper (sz 1) and 1.8 cents per wipe. That works out to about $40/month assuming 8 diapers a day.

If I wanted to use 7th Gen, it would be about $50.

Nature Babycare is a great eco-friendly diaper. I use about a pack and a 1/3 a month... Around $45-$50/month I'm estimating. It was around $35-$40/month when we used Pampers.

I work at a hospital so I can buy our diapers through there, and it's pretty cheap. It costs us around 30$ a month for pampers baby dry, if that. It helps A LOT.

We are switching from cloth to sposies and I'm curious to see how much people spend on diapers a month.

We are going with the Honest Company (love them!) and it's $80/mo for diapers and wipes. I know it's a little more than most sposies but I really wanted a more natural/eco option.
