About $300 for all 4 of us. And it's great coverage.

@yellowbird: I have private insurance (I'm self-employed). I pay about $230/month. I have a $2,500 deductible and a $5,000 cap for the year. My husband gets his for free, and I think when our LO is born, I'll add them to my policy for an extra $150/month.

My employer covers my health coverage, but I pay $850/month to cover DH and our 2 boys. It's ridiculously over-priced, but it's also very good insurance; my LOs birth {from prenatal to hospital stay} cost us $15.

Employee (our) portion is about $250/month for full medical, dental and vision coverage for our entire family. My husband works for the state, so an awesome health plan is one of the upsides. The employer portion of the plan is over $1,500/month.

Mine is $0 but it's a HDHP, $1250 deductible. My employer covers my portion and also parcels out the $1250 over a year.

DH pays about $180/mo for him and L. Not sure what it would cost to add me to his plan in this year's open enrollment - but last year it woudl be $150/mo extra. And my employer pays me $150/mo if i leave their insurance - so if it's still in that ballpark, it'd be worth it, esp as his employer is based in NJ and will cover infertility TREATMENT.

I pay about $80 a month (through my employer) but I have an EPO plan which is cheaper than a PPO. I have to stay in network but in the long run with my DH's health issues, it's cheaper.

If I had gone with a PPO, it would have cost us $250 a month plus copays. EPO was definitely cheaper for us.

MORE THAN MY MORTGAGE. My health insurance shouldn't cost more than my mortgage...

@looch: it is pretty much the same in NY State! Your premium is dependent on your household income!
You have NO idea how many friends I've told this to and they assume they don't qualify and don't even bother checking. I keep telling them, dude, it's not Medicaid!!! Unless you're freaking Donald Trump you will qualify. So annoying.

@yellowbird: That's great! It isn't the case at mine, so unless we're both open to disclosing our salary, my point is, me telling you what we pay isn't relevant.

@locavore_mama: I am dying to put my son on the state healthcare, but we can't, because we don't qualify. I heard on the radio today that in PA, every child, regardless of their parent's income, is eligible. My state needs to get on the ball.

We're close to $800/month with $2500 deductible for the 3 of us. My son and I are on private insurance, and my husband is on the company plan. We'll all be moving to a new private plan after the first of the year that should bring us to around $700/month for similar coverage.

Next year for Myself, DH, and LO we'll pay $330/month. It's pretty amazing coverage, but DH just applied for a job with an insurance company that would knock ours out of the park!

Deductible: $300 individual / $600 family
Out of Pocket max: $2,000 individual / $4,000 family
Co-pay: $20, but all wellness appointments are covered 100%
Co-insurance: 90% after deductible
