I nurse DS before I go to work (5-6am). I only feed 1 side at a time (oversupply). I then pump the side I don't feed on b/c I'm crazy engorged after all night - usually pump 5-6 oz from that side.

Then pump at work around 9am, usually get 8-10 oz total from that pump. 2nd pump around 1pm, usually get 8-9 oz. Don't pump again, get home around 4:45 and feed DS then.

My oversupply actually used to be a LOT worse! The first couple months, when he woke up in the MOTN, I'd have to get up and I'd pump like 10-12 oz before I could feed him b/c I was so engorged he couldn't latch. I know now that was making my oversupply worse.

I have donated 8 gallons of breastmilk (so far) and had to buy a deep freezer!

Morning pump: 5-10 oz
Afternoon pump: 3-4 oz

DD is 11 months. I contemplate dropping the afternoon session but on the days when my morning output is low, that doesn't cut it for the following day's milk. I have a huge freezer stash but I'm currently getting screened to donate it for NICU preemies so I'd like to hang into it for that.

How old is your LO?

My LO is 9 months. I worked really hard to build up a freezer stash before coming back to work. Since being back, I've been pumping 3 times a day and getting around 12-15 oz. She normally drink 12 oz at daycare, so I was pumping right around exactly what she was drinking. In the last two weeks though my supply has dramatically decreased and I'm now pumping only 9 oz over three sessions, so I've been having to supplement from the freezer stash. I'm trying to get my supply back up, but at the same time I'm not too worried because I know I have enough in the freezer to get us to a year.

LO is 8mo and I pump 2-3 times a day while I am at work.

First session is about 7oz, second session is about 5oz and if I squeeze that last session in I can get another 3ish oz. I basically take home what she needs for the next day (12oz).

I feed on demand at home and she frequently nurses throughout the night.

DS2 is 8 mo. I probably range from 3-5 oz per session. I pump 4x a day. I do 3x at work and then pump before bed. I'm going to cut it down to 2x at work starting next week as I have a good freezer stash.

I think that as long as you are covering what you need for the day, you should relax. Stress doesn't help things!

When I was pumping I would get 10-12 oz per pump session, but I was a pumping machine on maternity leave and worked to get an oversupply. I needed a big freezer stash!

My LO is 9 months old, and I pump at work twice per day (3 days a week) I pump about 8 oz - 4 oz each session. She takes 2 - 4 oz bottles with the baby sitter, so it works out perfect.

It varies pretty widely based on how long it's been, so I can't really vote. But I get about 24oz total from 3-4 sessions per day. About an ounce an hour. It was 28-30 before and I don't know why it dropped. We've had to supplement with formula, which just pissed me off after I worked so hard. (And I EP, so the formula didn't impact my supply.)

@lovehoneybee: My LO is 7 months now. I leave for work before she's up, so I have 3 pumps outside of the house, including my big morning pump.

I get about 10-12 oz in the morning pump, and 5 oz total from each of the other two pumps. So about 20-22 oz out of those three pumps by the time I get home at 4 pm. I'm basically EPing now, because a lot of times LO has a bottle at 3 and I'm home at 4 and have to pump again.

I think total I'm producing about 30 oz a day.

When I first went back to work I had about a 2-3 ounce oversupply a day but that was only because I had been pumping daily for a month or so beforehand to build up my stash so I technically had an oversupply. Now I only pump enough for the next day and sometimes I'm an ounce or two short (at 12 months, been pumping at work since 6 months).

I don't see why you should be able to pump much more than her feedings for the next day, I wouldn't stress about getting more!

I picked 4-5.. I remember I usually got just enough to feed her. In the beginning more like 6-8, and then to 4-5, and then dwindled down.

I don't feel like I pump enough, but Kelly mom also says I'm in the normal range. Today I've gotten 2 oz total with my 1 pump, I went at lunch to try and nurse her but she was too drowsy and didn't want to eat, so I'm going to pump again. It takes me a day and a half of pumping to get what she needs for one day at daycare, so I'm having to go at lunch to feed her (I don't really mind but want to also have an hour to myself every day). Also doing the tea, oatmeal, brewers yeast. It's so stressful.

Well right now, I am still getting quite a bit. Usually around 6 ounces per pumping session, but I am not pumping regularly yet so I'm sure that my supply will dip when I go back to work. With my firstborn, I typically got around 4 ounces per pumping, which is about what he was eating.

And how many times a day do you pump? How old is your little one?

I'm stressing a little about my output, but Kellymom suggests that I'm still in the normal range.

I currently pump 3 times a day, and usually end up with 10-11oz total, but two weeks ago I was able to get 10oz from 2 sessions. Sometimes I can barely get anything out of my right side at all...last night it was 5 hours without a pump or feed on that side, and I was barely engorged and only got 1.5oz. After 5 hours!

I've tried 3 sizes of shield things, am drinking Mother's Milk tea like my life depends on it, plus oatmeal, fenugreek and brewer's yeast. I'm able to pump enough for her two feedings the next day...should I be able to be getting more? I don't know what else to do to try to get more...I nurse over lunch and on demand as soon as I get home, and I pump after feeding (but usually only get a few drops). She dropped from the 54th to 36th percentiles between 1-2 months, but I think she was in the middle of a growth spurt. She has plenty of wet diapers.

Should I just chill?
