Like, right now Kohl's has a 30% coupon code for cardholders and a free shipping code, and I wait for those types of sales and look at the toys that are already on clearance/sale and snap them up for a much cheaper deal. Most of the toys that my son has received from his own birthday are quickly put in a bin and forgotten about so I have a hard time spending a lot. I also have no shame and if one of my LOs receives really similar gifts (like two similar play sets or two similar games), I just keep one in the packaging and regift later at another birthday party in a different friend group. I only need so many vocabulary building board games, you know? But if it's a regift, I couple it with something else small, like new playdough or new sidewalk chalk.</p> <p>I also buy packs of birthday cards and gift bags/paper when they are on sale (Michael's has sales or coupons all the time and I stock up). I keep it all on the same shelf in the closet.
