I usually buy my bras from Victoria's Secret. I really like the Le Mysterie brand that I found at Dillards.

ETA: $30-$70 sometimes I can find them on sale.

I scour discount stores (Ross, marshalls, tj maxx) for decent brands. I usually pay around $12-15. Calvin Klein are my favorite. I used to buy cheap but pretty bras, because I like color and like to have a lot of bras in rotation. But they never last, so I've stopped that.

I like to have 5 or 6 bras in rotation, plus I always seem to have a few that don't fit well hanging around. I usually keep bras for around 2 years.

@looch: We do have Triumph here. I went in once looking for undies and they were about €30/pair, so I left and didn't even look at the bras. Maybe I'll have to try again.

@lamariniere: $100-150 (local boutiques or nordstrom --and mostly only the sales)
--i have huge boobs and with the wrong bra, i just look fat, with the right bra, i look almost hour-glassy and it's worth the money.

for maternity/nursing, i'm like 15-35 because ... i can't find anything worth it at any price so why spend the money?

@cherrybee: 1-2 non maternity/nursing, replace every 6-15 months
5-6 mat/nursing--because of leaking and whatnot-- replace ...i've never thrown any of them away. :o

I used to have I think 4 bra's. Call me gross but I def wear each one a few times before washing (depending on my sweat level too). I used to search the racks at discount stores, but it was really hard to find bras my size (32DD). I had gotten 4 new VS bras when they were BOGO 50%.

Post nursing, I bought another 2 during their semi-annual sale. I'm making do with 2 for now and I'll kinda squeeze into my old bras if I need to... Since I plan to have another baby so I don't want to buy more bras till my boobs will stay one size forever.

I don't really have a replacement time-frame... I guess I just know when they're super frumpy looking and/or all bend outta shape.

@avivoca: Second Soma!

The customer service in the store can't be beat. I was fitted for my first set of bras about a year ago and I got three pairs. I just went last week and replaced those with 2 new ones (2/$59) and they ended up being a different style and size then the previous ones I had. They're so comfy and i think theirs sizes go up to like a 40G. I really only have a nude and a black that are for everyday use.

The problem with living where I do is that there is no real mid-range...I can either go cheap at H&M (terrible bras!) or I have to go for high end brands at a department store or specialty shops. I haven't heard of a lot of these brands, so thanks for the suggestions, I'm checking to see if I can get them here.

I have a very large chest (36 G), so I cannot get away with cheapies.

I've gotten bras from Nordstrom before for about $75 each. If I only have one at a time, it lasts about a year.

This year, I just bought 3 new bras at about $100 each (ouch) from a local boutique. The brands are Prima Donna and Simone Perele, which are both French brands. I love, love, love them, which makes the price tag a little easier to swallow. I hope they'll last for at least for a few years, with good care!

I'm an F cup so I have to get expensive bras to find one that fit and are supportive. I typically spend $70-85 per bra so I don't tend to have more than 2-3 in rotation at a time (and I wear them until the wear out or don't fit).

I like Panache, Freya, Wacoal, Chantelle, and Natori.

I am still in nursing bras, which oddly were cheaper than my normal bras. I was a 32G/H pre-pregnancy, so I regularly had to spend $80-100 per bra to find ones that came in my size. So spending $50 on a nursing bra seemed so reasonable to me! I baby my bras- hand wash them, hang them to dry, because I don't want to have to replace them often. I usually have 3-5 in rotation. I really like chantelle for my size.

Victoria Secret, I usually buy during their semi-annual sale and stock up, usually around $40 on sale but am not opposed to spending $60+ if I like the bra and it fits. Sadly I have no bought bras in awhile and I need too and I'm scared I will be too big for VS now.

I have a bunch - probably 10? I'd say in regular rotation probably half of those. They're all from the Gap, though, and I buy them on sale so...maybe $20, maybe less? I do sometimes think that I should go get a professional fitting, maybe once I'm done nursing.

I have 4 bras right now but need to get new. I wore them through my pregnancy so they are all stretched out. My underwear all needs tossed too. DH agreed that I can start all over once I like my body again. I buy mine at Kohls or Target so they aren't expensive. I'll probably get my boring everyday ones at Kohls and go to VS or Macy's for a few nice sets of bras and panties.

My favorite bra is Sculptresse by Panache in the style Pure and Pure Lace (t-shirt bras). I discovered the brand through Zulily and can't go back to anything else! I find them really comfortable, yet very supportive. I've thrown out every other bra I have, including workout bras because they're nowhere near as supportive these bras.

I have 5 bras that roughly fit (in sister sizes to figure out my current size). The under-wire is poking out of one of them (after 2 yrs of use), and one doesn't fit as nicely as the others - that leaves 3 in rotation. But I just bought 2 more bras (on super sale), so I'll have 5 again.

They retail for about £50, but if I'm not fussy about the color, I get them for under £20 on Amazon or eBay. Just the other day, I found my size in black(!) on super sale - the first black bra I've owned in years :grin:

I really like Chantelle and Calvin Klein bras. I had 1 Chantelle and 2 CK bras that I had been rotating through before I got pregnant. I think I bought them on sale at Nordstrom Rack or during the anniversary sale for ~$35-50 each. I typically replace bras when they either no longer fit because my cup size has changed or the band has stretched out and they are too loose. I probably keep them longer than I really should though.
