At 3.5 mos, we are mostly feeding straight from the boob, but when we are using a bottle, he usually gets 4 oz bottles every 2-3 hours. He just did a weekend with grandma and grandpa and seemed ok with that (as far as what they told me). For this reason we had to add formula to her milk with a reduced water ratio. at day care she eats even less.
