We did 3 sheets, 36 fruit kebobs, big bowl of snack mix, cupcakes and cookies. Threw half the snack mix out, all the fruit kebobs were gone and had almost a whole sheet of pizza left!
17 kids and 20 adults

@catomd00: thanks for the reference! Yes, we're usually eating leftovers for days after a party. But since this isn't at home I'm trying to minimize leftovers. We might be spending more time at the zoo after too so things will go bad in the car.

I'm leaning towards 3 sheets it will see what DH thinks. Although he always completely over estimates!

@regberadaisy: we had 10 kids/20 adults and got 7 16incj pizzas. They actually cut them into 16 slices instead of 8 and we went home woth 2.5 pizzas. I planned for 2 slices per adult and 1 per kid. Cutting them into 16ths threw us off since people still didn't eat more than 2 slices! We also had veggies, crackers, fruit, etc. better to have too much than not enough though!

Going off the counts above, I would think 2 sheets and 1 pie would only be enough for 10 adults and 12 kids.

I would assume kids would eat 1 normal slice of a pie or 2 squares.

So 2 pies might be ok, Or maybe just the 1 sheet for the kids. But I would consider rounding up.

For adults, I would assume 2 slices of a normal pie or maybe 3-4 squares? That is where I came up with 4 pies (rounding up to 5). I guess that would be similar to 3 sheets.

So in total I would say 6-8 pies or 4 sheets? I dont think 2 sheets and a pie would be enough.

@T.H.O.U.: yes, on top of snack mix, fruit salad m, juice/water and cup/cake.
What size of pizza are you referring to?? 😮@ShootingStar: @Kimberlybee: I was leaning towards 2 sheets and a large. Most kids I know can definitely eat more than a slice of pizza...but with cake staring them in the face? Probably not. 😂

I would order 2 slices of pizzas for everyone to make it easier. I wouldn't want too much leftover food either.

I would assume 2 pieces for each adult and 1 piece for each kid.

So this is on top of Snack Mix, Fruit, Drinks and Cake?

I would think maybe 3 pizzas for the kids and 5 pizzas for adults?

We have 17 kids (2-12) and 18 adults confirmed for DD1's 4th birthday party. So 35 total.

How much food should we order? One sheet is 24 slices (~5" squares). Large is a 17" / 8 pie slices.

We will have a snack mix(Chex, animal crackers, popcorn) and a big fruit salad. Ordering a sandwich platter and/or some other side is also an option.

It will be during lunch time at the zoo. So we won't have ton of time to munch or eat. I want there to be enough food but don't want a ton leftover to have to bring home either!

Thanks
