She hasn't been to any parties of other daycare kids yet. We have 5 birthday parties to go to in the next month or so. I made each kid a personalized melamine plate @ Shutterfly. With a coupon and free shipping code, it came out to $14 each shipped. </p> <p>Here are the stock photos of the ones I got if anyone needs an idea! I buy multiples and call it done and I also keep a log of what I have given so I don't repeat.</p> <p>Right now, kids are getting a Spot It alphabet game and a Crazy Cheese puzzle. We go to a birthday party almost every weekend so it really adds up, but I'm thankful to have something to do during these cold winter months! Plus the kids eat at the party so I don't have to worry about one meal. </p> <p>Typically I buy a book and a toy or art supplies. I stock up when there are sales and have a basket full of stuff I can gift 3 year olds and 5 year olds. A cheap toy usually looks cheap and the cool toys are more than I would like to spend (40?!). I try to aim for stickers, coloring books, or art supplies that kids go through quickly but still love using. :)</p> <p>ETA: I was always told to spend what you think your meal costs.
