@looch: Thanks! The panel on my jeans from there were terrible too! These are the under belly style so no panel (I didn't care for it anyway). Ohh I bet those Italian shorts are lovely!!

@artbee: And there lies in the problem. haha

Normally I'd say you won't need all of that stuff.... but it's such a good price for a ton of clothes, I'd go for it :)

@anbanan15: I wish I knew! They were def. not poplin! The panel was also thin, like pantyhose!

The shorts I got and loved where from a shop in Italy, I can't even give you a rec!

Honestly, the maternity shorts I had from motherhood sucked! I didn't pay close enough attention to what I was ordering and the fabric they were made of made me really warm!

@ladyfingers: I'm in PA and in general am always cold, but it was 85 and humid here the other day and I was dying in capris and a tank with DS hanging on me and I'm not even big yet! I only added the 3 pairs because the one is clearance and really cheap and the top I could totally do without but it's cute and longer so would go great with leggings (totallytrying to justify everything here).

I wished I'd bought only half of the maternity clothes I did. And I really didn't buy too much in terms of maternity.
I would think 1 pair of shorts would be enough. Two, tops. By the time I could wear most of my maternity clothes, I just wanted to feel normal and made do with mostly normal clothes. Shorts were easy with the rubber band trick.
I sized up in underwear/boy shorts and still love wearing those. My Gap Maternity Tanks and maternity leggings (any brand) got the most wear and most mileage with normal clothes. Since you'll be preggers in the warm months, I say rock all the dresses you can. I wish I could have!

I would just get cute underwear one size up from Victoria's Secret, so you can wear it PP. I totally still wear my maternity tanks PP, so I think those are musts. The leggings can be worn around the house after birth. The shorts, maybe just 2 pairs? Not sure how hot it gets where you are, but if I was pregnant in Florida in the summer I would have needed some shorts. and then maybe drop the top? Unless it's really cute ;)

TBH, I actually have not made any maternity purchases myself yet. My mom lovely purchased all my clothing, but I still don't know if I want to spend the money since I don't need them.

So far I've gotten Gap/ON and Target this time around and really love everything so much better!

I had one pair of shorts, two jeans but i only used one, one pair of leggings, two tanks, four tops, one sweater. I had to buy one fancy dress for a wedding that I got online at target.

For work I bought one skirt, one pair of pants, about three work dresses and a sweater top. I wore the skirt and pants with my maternity tees and dressed it up with necklaces and scarves.

I also used some of my pre-pregnancy shirts/dresses/cardigans that were roomy or I would wear the tanks and wore my pre-preg shirts or sweaters unbuttoned. I also just got regular underwear and workout clothes one size up, which I also used postpartum.

For reference, I delivered early November and it hadn't really gotten cold yet, so I mostly wore summer type clothing through the pregnancy.

ETA: I also was a Gap/ON and target maternity shopper.

@LuLu Mom: That was my same issue with Motherhood with DS! I felt the clothing did not hold up well at all). I totally agree about the ribbed tanks! I had Motherhood with DS and got ON this time and oh. my. gosh. are they so much better! Plus the ON ones are ruched. I was looking to the jersey knit ruched ones Motherhood has now. I have 2 dresses, but I'm not sure I want to wear them to work...it's not really a dress kind of place.

i managed to get by with 1 pair of long jeans, 1 pair of jeans capri length, about 6 or 7 maternity tops - I did a lot of layering with non maternity stuff - 2 new bras, 2 dresses, 3 skirts, and 2 sweaters.

I had my baby in October so was mostly pregnant in summer clothes (thank god for flip flops!) so a few tanks on top of skirts (some non maternity skirts I already had I could pull down below my belly) - and I would put a cardigan or cropped jacket over.

I don't do shorts, so it was skirts for me! ;) I bough most of my stuff at Old Navy, Macys and Gap.

I think that sounds like a good deal! I'm living in maxi dresses right now (not just maternity), and ill probably be in them all summer after LO arrives. If you think you'll wear it pp, I'd say go for it!

I'll be pregnant throughout the summer and I wasn't planning on buying any shorts. I can't wear them to work, and if I need to be cooler on weekends I'll just wear skirts or dresses. I think one can never have too many tank tops, though- I wear them by themselves around the house and under other things at the office. I've never owned maternity underwear- I got through the first pregnancy fine without any, wasn't planning on buying any this pregnancy.

I would skip the underwear, and I actually wore dresses more than shorts in the summer so I was good with 2 pairs of shorts: 1 black and 1 tan. I would definetely have several shirt options, at least wtih me last summer I thought they started to get "gross" after wearing them so much so I replaced 1/2 through the summer. I also waited for hte buy 2 get 1 free, ect. deals at Old Navy. I loved their ribbed tank tops better than Motherhood. They didn't stretch out as much after wearing them!

@cascademom: I had the motherhood underwear with DS and loved them. The sale price is so good right now!

@.twist.: One would be plenty for me too, but the sale is pretty good so it makes more sense to get at least 2.

@littlebittyhouse: This is basically what I have now and what I had for DS (winter styles) and was enough, but I think I need a few more tanks and shorts...we don't have AC where I work, just a force air system, so once it get's hotter and I get bigger it's going to be a mother in there!

ETA: All the styles could totally pass for non-maternity so it would make great pp wear too!! I sent DH a text waiting for confirmation to order but he's taking forever ;)

I lived in Old Navy maternity tank tops. They're the best. For maternity shorts, I really liked the JCP Duo maternity ones I purchased with an underbelly band. I loved, loved my Motherhood Maternity undies. Buy them! They're amazing. I miss them some days.

I'm debating if I need to buy the shopping cart of Motherhood clothing I have or not...I originally wanted to avoid the store (wasn't impressed with it with DS) but I think I need shorts and they have some on sale and styles I like with the lower waist band. It's already been hot here and that is the one things I haven't purchased yet since I normally do not wear them. So...

Do I really need 3 pairs of shorts, 1 pair of leggings, 1 top, 4 tanks and the 3 pairs of undies sitting in my shopping cart for just over $100? I already have a good amount of maternity pieces that could get me through wearing the same thing every few days, just no shorts and only 2 tanks :) Justify me ladies!!
