At 3 months (my daughter is 3.5 months now) I was told to aim for at least around 25 oz per day from here on out from our Lactation Consultant. I think she sometimes gets a little less or more depending on her sleep stretches at night! (FYI-We supplement about 9 oz formula a day due to early milk transfer issues).

The rough estimate I was taught by an LC is:
Round weight to nearest pound
Multiply (pounds)X (2.5)
This will give you the approximate number of oz of breastmilk your LO should be consuming to gain weight.

Seems normal to me. We had a lot of feeding issues and I recall my "goal" was always to get her to 24 oz/day but I considered anywhere between 20-30 oz/day normal.

How much milk was your lo taking at 3 months?

Ds2 is 12 weeks tomorrow and feeds five times a day. I assume he's getting 5oz or so at each feed. His first feed after waking in the morning is one side and I pump 5 oz from the other. The other four feeds are both sides totaling 5/6 oz. I assume just because I pumped today for a day feeding while I was at the hospital for dh and ended up with 5.5 oz. I pumped both sides first thing in the am and pumped 5 oz which he took over two feedings while I was gone.

I think ds is getting 25 oz or so a day. Is that pretty average for this age? It's been a few years since ds1 and I can't quite remember except that he was a milk monster!
