Same with water. Girl loved her BM!</p> <p>Now that she is mostly weaned (down to one session per day), she drinks about 8-10 ounces/day of WCM and another 8-10 ounces of water. It took quite a while to get here - maybe 10-12 weeks? I just kept offering and gradually she started drinking more. FWIW, I nurse first thing in the morning, offer milk with meals/snacks, and always keep her water cup in the play area (she sips on it throughout the day). But I guess M is an anomaly as she will gladly polish off as much milk as you give her (and has from day 1). When they were a little older (15ish months) it increased to 6-10 ounces. I never give more than 12 oz. a day because they also both eat other dairy products. He started out as a kid that didn't drink a lot but when we transitioned he got four 5-6 oz bottles during the day and an 8 oz bottle before bed.</p> <p>But when we bottle weaned he gradually declined his intake. Then she had her birthday cake and polished off like six ounces to wash it down - cause nothing goes better with cake than a cold glass of milk. I think it's more the sippy than the fact that it's WCM because she would drink it out of a bottle just fine. I mentioned it to the dr last week while I had her in for an ear infection and she wasn't too concerned. She drinks 5-6ozs formula in the AM. Then maybe 2-3 ozs in the PM. She only drank 2 ozs milk all day(offered with three meals and a snack). Then 2 ozs of water. She still has wet diapers and pooping 3-4 times a day still. I am offering dairy with meals and snacks. </p> <p>How do I get her to drink more? </p>
