So we did 5oz in a bottle today and he did eat more at breakfast --- he is definitely drinking less out of his cups (straw &amp; sippy) but still maybe doing 3 oz at a time... we're trying to get off the bottle as LO is 12 months so I feel like he'll drink less when he's done with the bottles.</p> <p>the kid loves milk though. We're transitioning off of bottles right now. We just dropped the morning bottle and she's drinking alot less (2-3oz versus 5-6oz). I do expect that she'd drink less from a cup but from what I've read, they should be drinking a large amount of milk when they wake up. Overall she gets about 16oz a day, so i was just curious if it really matters whether she drinks alot in the morning versus spread out throughout the day. The only reason i'm concerned about this is because daycare mentioned her diapers weren't as wet in the morning. but she has plenty of wet and poopy diapers the rest of the day. I've also tried to offer the bottle again in the morning and she refuses it now... so i'm kind of stuck! </p> <p>anyway, just curious if other kids drink less in the morning as well? </p>
