LO drinks about 8-10 oz. of whole milk a day and nurses at night and first thing in the morning. On the weekends I let her nurse when she asks for it so she usually has less whole milk then.

About 15 oz a day. Usually 5 oz of sippy in the morning/with breakfast, an ounce or two with lunch, the rest after nap, and then an 8 oz bottle before bed (though lately he's only had 5). He's almost 16 months and, yes, we're going to ditch the bedtime bottle...soon....

Probably around 15 oz a day- some days a little more or less. I don't really limit how much at meals, he's on the smaller side, so more isn't ever a bad thing. I let him have unlimited water throughout the day.

Thanks everyone, this makes me feel much better (less paranoid) :)

I do wonder why do the pediatricians make it such a big deal that we "have to switch to whole milk after 1".... because we grown ups don't drink milk as part of our major diet, well, except that grande latte from starbucks....

DS just turned two and averages around 20oz each day. I give him 8oz with each meal. He usually finishes his first two cups each day and at least half of his dinner cup.

My LO is 21 months and she drinks anywhere from 10-16 oz a day...it varies a lot like pp said. I agree that milk isn't that important as long as they have a well balanced diet...way better to get nutrition from food instead of drinking his/her calories. Also, I heard food helps with absorption of nutrients so offering milk with food is best

He's 3 and doesn't drink that much milk. He just has some throughout the day. Like he'll eat cereal with milk, have 1 or 2 cups of yogurt, maybe some string cheese. He gets his calcium from other sources so I'm not concerned.

He probably drinks anywhere from 4-12 oz. Just depends on the day. At daycare he drinks more but at home on the weekends he drinks less. He also eats a string cheese almost every day and has yogurt most days.

Probably 4-8 oz of milk and then however much BM he drinks in 4 sessions. LO is 13 mos. Our pediatriacian said three servings of dairy and that a serving of milk is 4oz. I try to go by servings, rather than ounces now.

She hardly drinks any milk. She wouldn't drink any for a while, but she'll drink maybe 2 small cups a day. My pediatrician said that he would rather DD get her calories and calcium from food rather than depending on milk.

I find that LO's intake varies a lot from day to day. He gets a sippy of milk for all meals, and some days he'll polish them off, other days he may only drink half a cup with each meal. In general, the more he eats, the less he drinks, and vice versa. He also tends to drink more milk when he doesn't feel well. All that to say that I don't worry -- I can't force him to drink more and I'm sure he's getting what he needs from food, too.

LO is 19 months now. He used to gobble down a 4-5 oz cup of milk after breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so it would have been 12-15 oz of milk a day.. It was perfect because pediatrician wanted us to limit it to 17-18 oz max. Recently his habits has changed: He still gobbles down 4-5 oz (or sometimes more on weekends) at breakfast, 4 oz at lunch, he would barely drink any at/after dinner, maybe 1-2 oz (sometimes really a few sips). So his day adds up to 7-11 oz of milk a day. I don't even know if that's enough?

Should we still watch toddler's milk intake like a hawk, or is it pretty much OK considering he is probably taking in calcium in other foods as well? (He does eat about 1 cup of yobaby yogurt a day). How much is your toddler drinking?
