DH and I use LOs milk too. She drinks about 18 oz a day at 22 months. She takes about 16oz a day, which I think is a bit low, but she's just not a huge fan of it and gets plenty of dairy elsewhere. Since neither me or DH drink much milk, we use her whole milk for all our general milk needs as well. We were out of town yesterday and she goes to a sitter during the week and she provides it there. If we run out the day before grocery day we just do water until we get groceries (any longer and I would probaby make a special trip to the store, but it hasn't ever happened).
