I watch for sales on brands we love, and go to the local once upon a child every month or so. Then, when she outgrows stuff or needs things for a new season, I can evaluate what we have (I keep a big box with "next size ups"), and I usually just fill in the gaps with a 75.00 or so order of sale stuff from gap/old navy (leggings, tees, sweatshirts).<br /> I do order from Thred Up every few months, too. My kid wears mostly Hanna Anderson at this point, but it's almost all second hand. That brand holds up better than anything I've seen. I just got a20-year old hand-me down that looks like new. It can take a beating in the wash, too, so I can be liberal with stain stuff.</p> <p>Oh- I buy see Kai runs when they are on sale for shoes. We did get hand me downs with my 1st but we outgrew all of those the 1st year.<br /> 3. I have two boys so a lot is reused.<br /> 4. I have boys so there aren't as many options I like. We also got hand me downs, which are great. With everything we got, I'm not even sure if I need to buy full priced clothes... well, unless there is something specific that I can't find used. Like I'll buy clothes from consignment sales or buy clearance items. </p> <p>If I buy clothes, I am getting clothes in the larger sizes and not newborn sizes where they grow out of them so quickly. </p> <p>How much do you spend? </p>
