DD was a pack addict from the beginning. We limited the pack to sleeping or long car rides when she was around 5 months. At about 14 months we cut it cold turkey. It was a brutal couple days but so glad we did it! She is so stubborn I can't imagine trying to battle over the paci now that she's 2.

We only gave it in the crib and occasionally the car after the newborn days. We ditched it at 12 months.

I'm not sure! My LO is 13 months and is a paci addict also. He only gets it it in the car or when sleeping... And occasionally when he's being fussy.

I've noticed he 'talks' a lot more without it so I try to limit as much as possible.

She constantly had it around that age. I think binky time peaked at 15 months (maybe 15-18?). I didn't consciously try and limit her binky time at all. It made her happy, she's a finicky kid, so I just left it alone.
Now, her 2nd birthday is in 3 weeks and she never uses her binky except for bed time and nap time. Even then, she only sucks on them for a few moments until she falls asleep. She just gradually stopped using them on her own since she's talking so much now.

R is a binkie baby. He loves pacifiers! He would happily sit with one in his mouth at all times except eating. I try to limit to nap and bed time, and fussy times. He's almost 11m so I'm wondering if I should try to cut it out further? What's normal?

My first kiddo wasn't a binkie baby at all, so this is all new territory!
