My second was 13-14.5hr at night ( no wake ups) and usually a 2-3hr nap. She has high sleep needs. I wish mine did. Haha. Actually I think dd does but too soon to tell! At that age ds only slept 10-10.5 at night and mayyyyyybe 2 hour nap if I was lucky. But a lot of my friends kids do a 12 hour night and 2plus hour afternoon nap. That's why I was asking. She seems perfectly fine and normal in all other areas of life but she sleeps a lot. If there were even something a little off about her otherwise I'd probably be concerned. DS1 dropped to one nap at 11 months, usually slept 10-11 hours overnight and about 1.5 for nap. DS2, now 16 months, CAN do one nap (usually 3ish hours), but usually takes two (both about 2 hours long). Then he sleeps 12-13 hours overnight. He transitioned from 2 to 1 nap at 10 (!) months. He also cut his nap to every other day when he turned 2.5, and cut it completely once he turned 3. LO2 is about 12 hours at night...sometimes with one wake-up, and he is already on 1 nap/day does anywhere between 1-3 hour naps. He's 12 months, and I'll take it. I find it crazy that there are kids out there who are still on 2 naps/day after a year and envy you! We also had that from about 18 months to 20-ish months. Naps were fine but he woke 1x a night 4-5 nights a week. But went right back down after a minute of rocking. At 18 months he had just gone to one nap, 1.5-2 hrs, and slept 6pm-7:15am. Now he's 24 months and on the same schedule. She has always needed a ton of sleep. He slept for about 2 hours a day (90 minutes to 2 hours at daycare, 2-2.5 hours at home). Then he went to bed at 730pm and STTN until 7-730am. He was going through a sleep regression at the time so he actually sleeps better now for naps than he did then. But some days he had 1 nap and some days 2. Totalling 3-4 hours. Then slept 7-7pm, give or take a half hour. He's been down to one nap since 1 year. On the weekend he gets 12-13 overnight, and 1-1.5 during his nap. So pretty consistently, he sleeps ~13-15 hrs of sleep per night, with 13-14 being the average. He just turned 18 months but his sleep schedule has been unchanged since he started daycare 6 months ago. DD2 is sleepier and didn't do full-time care at that age. I wish my LO slept like either of yours. My 17mo sleeps 9.5-10 hours overnight with either 2 or 3 wake ups. DD2 will be 18 months this month and clocks about 4 to 5 hours worth of naps during the day (2 naps, the first 30 minutes to an hour, the second is generally about 3/3.5 hours) plus she STTN 11.5/12 hours. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for so much peace and ease surrounding at least one of my kids sleep but it seems like she sleeps a lot. How much sleep is/was your LO getting at 18 months?
