Think of it this way. I bet for other winter flights you've taken, odds are your plane/crew might have just come from a snowy place. It made it to your airport just fine and you were never the wiser!! It snows those amounts at a LOT of airports all the time and flights generally take off and land just fine. If they didn't, there would basically be no air travel for half of the US all winter :)

They have pretty good de-icing capabilities at that airport. Often delays are determined by the inbound aircraft or connections.
I fly into Baltimore through Chicago on Wed, and I'm going to see if I can standby onto a direct flight instead.

Agreed. It's not very cold, so I doubt that much snow will create any major problem.

1-3" is pretty minor I think? Ice and lightning are the biggies for planes

1-3 inches is a really minor snow fall for that area. I wouldn't worry about it.

Winter travel, ugh!

Have you ever had a flight canceled because of snow? I'm supposed to fly out of the DC/Baltimore area on Tuesday and they are calling for 1-3 inches. I really, really don't want my flight canceled. Console me!!
