I give her a piece of fruit to gnaw on for breakfast after she nurses (usually in her exersaucer) and at dinner she gets a half tomato, some sort of green veggie (2 asparagus sprigs or a few broccoli florets or some avocado) and maybe some squash or sweet potato. She picks at it, mashes it in her face, on the tray etc. I figure she gets a few tbsps of food. Whens shes done she just drops it all on the floor for the dogs

DS is 4.5 months and we started rice cereal at 4 months. Just a tbsp mixed with milk in the evening. This week we started giving him a taste of purée mid day. I don't know that I would count it as a meal....maybe it's 1-2 tbsp just enough for a taste and to get him used to the process. Still give him 1 serving of tie cereal in the evening as well.

My LO is 7 months and he eats 3 meals a day but how much he eats ranges from meal to meal and day to day. He loves Greek or full fat yogurt so that almost always gets mixed with everything (fruits, veggies, meats). He'll eat anywhere from 1-5 oz in one sitting. We are staring to do more table foods as well but most of the time it becomes a free for all for my dog!

The advice that I was given is to just feed your LO until they turn their head away.

My son is almost 7 months old and just started solids at 6 months. He eats once a day, but the amount just kind of depends on what he is eating. I've heard some people say 1 meal at 6m, 2 at 7m, 3 at 8m. I am not sure when we will increase meals for him as I want him to continue to get plenty of milk too.

LO is 6 months old and EBF. She has been eating purees once a day since around 4 months old. I feel like she is ready to move up to eating solids twice a day but I'm afraid it's too soon since they say babies are still supposed to be getting all of their nutrition from breastmilk/formula at this point. She eats about half of a Gerber container stage 1 puree (in the square plastic container) each evening. She is very interested in our food, and reaches out for it when shes at the table with us. How much solids is/was your baby eating?
