It kills me to leave her some mornings! We (DH) walk her before work and then again when we get home. I try to make outdoor activity plans in the evenings after work that the three of us can do together and will usually turn down invites to dinner or for after work drinks during the week because I feel guilty enough for the time she's been alone in her puppy cave (our basement is daytime space...) On weekends she gets a long walk each morning. And if we are on the couch/bed she's right there with us... Usually lying on too of me.... All 58 lbs of her! The dog gets attention in the morning and evening, DD gives her a lot of attention including a hug/kiss every morning before we leave the house. Now that LO is older we do get out of the house more, but we try to take him with us on the weekends if we go out to eat or go somewhere. Now that we have LO I think he likes when we leave him alone for a bit. During the day they go outside because Mavrick runs after them. He was crated 8am-4pm today and I felt sooo bad. We have been loving on him and took him to the dog park to make it up to him. One of my coworkers said to me just yesterday that when we have kids, we will forget all about him. Charlie chases her so she hides all day until he goes to bed. So the only time I spend with her is a little bit at night because she is scared to come downstairs where our bedroom is after she fell 10 feet the first day we moved here. How much time do you spend with your pets each day? Are they lonely since your LO was born?
