I'm trying to save as much as possible for maternity leave. The way they calculate it, I should have plenty of sick leave to get paid for the whole "recovery" phase (6-8 weeks) and enough vacation to cover about 2/3 of the "bonding" phase (the remainder of the 12 weeks" so I won't have to take too much unpaid time. Our vacation policy is open-ended. Meaning we don't accrue vacation and we don't have a set number of days.
