I need to switch professions! Lol way too high<br /> So I have 2 baby sitters I use that live in my neighborhood. Now one is 11 and the other is 12. Both have gained my trust through spending time with my son and doing "trial" baby sitting jobs that are 30 minutes. Both have taken their babysitter courses and I pay them $4.50/hr. They have never sat longer than 3 hours. I know one of her daycare teachers babysits, so I'm thinking of asking her. But, I don't know they going rate for babysitters. Do you pay different rates for daytime v. nighttime when LO would be mostly sleeping? What's the going rate where you live? I live in the Bay Area, and someone told me they pay around $25 for their sitter, but their child is much older than LO, so I wonder if that increases rates. $25 seems like an awful lot. </p>
