I think it depends on whether it's a "stock up" month, but generally we buy about $60 worth of necessities at our local grocery store (milk, eggs, yogurt, etc.) We spend about $100 - $150 every two weeks at our asian market where I get my meats, veggies and fruits. There are also a few times a year where I stock up my deep freezer, so i would estimate about $600-$650 a month.

$600-800 a month. We got a meal planning subscription that should cut it considerably, or at least we're hoping so.

Our monthly budget is $450, but we try really hard to stay under. It only goes over if we make a Costco trip to stock up on things.

It varies a lot depending on what's on sale - if I have a great price with sales/coupons, I stock up. I'd say at the most $85 a week, at the least maybe $50-60. That's 2 adults. That's for all our meals except eating out once on Friday night.

I spend a lot of time couponing and shopping sales. I buy stuff I need that's not on sale at Aldi. We don't eat organic or shop at Whole Foods or anything. Too $$$.

We have an unofficial budget of about $75 for the regular grocery store and $25 where we shop for meat/chicken/fish, so ~100/week for three. But, I almost always go over, so I would say about $500/month not including eating out/take out - but we try to keep that to only twice a month.

I just looked, and it is less than I would have guessed for last month-$385. Our take out was unusually high, though, because we had the baby. Also, both my mom and MIL brought us groceries when they came to visit. So on average, I would say probably 500 or so for food, household goods, and medicine? Doesn't include diapers or eating out, which we generally don't do much of.

Until we tried shopping at Target, we were coming in around $600 a month for groceries.

About $500 for two adults. This includes household goods and toiletries. Some months it's less, some months more, depending on what needs restocking. We rarely eat out or get take out so I didn't factor that in. We spend maybe $25 a month on coffees or maybe ordering a pizza...

I buy all sorts of stuff at Costco, so I'll have to see how much food I actually get. But I would say about $150-200 between grocery store and Costco every 2 weeks.

I should look at my receipts.

This includes all breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 adults and one toddler. And includes takeout which has been limited to like 2-3x a month.

I'm hoping to take it down to $450!

Probably $750-1k. We buy alot of fresh produce and meats, plus we also have to buy lots of expensive "alternative" foods like coconut yogurt or egg-less mayo due to the large number of food I've eliminated for LO's sensitivities.

The cost of groceries has definitely gone up this year. The cheese we buy at Costco use to be $9 and now it's $14 - for less cheese!

We spend between $200-250 at Costco every two weeks and $100 at Trader Joe's every week.

This doesn't usually include diapers or those other extras. We only eat out 1-2x a month and that tends to be less than $30.

@Smurfette: OMG . . . including lunch during the work week? EEEP . . . probably $1,300ish a month. We probably spend at least $800-900 a month on just groceries, and the rest would be for lunches. And that amount doesn't include after work drinks for DH (which are a fairly regular occurrence).

@Smurfette: I posted a looong time ago about my grocery bill problem. We're about the same, but food costs are quite high in my city. Organic strawberries? $10.99! Ethnic ingredients are also expensive. We don't eat out a lot though (i.e., lunches/dinners)...our eating out bill is usually about $250 or so, and that's during a really busy month.

For us 3 who eat regular food it's about $150/$170 every two weeks so $300/$340 a month. That includes all groceries and occasionally a few toiletries but we will usually do a separate Target or Amazon toiletries/diapers/household items run 1-2 times a month.

ETA: this doesn't include eating out as we will eat out maybe once a month if that. We do not eat organic.
