I need to count how many shows I watch. (Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Walking Dead, Dexter, Revenge, Pan Am, Once upon a time, Nurse Jackie, Glee, Breaking Bad) I DVR these shows so I might not watch every episode the week it is shown but I eventually catch up it in a week or two. </p> <p>So 10 TV shows. I do watch my NFL team play on TV. </p> <p>I can easily spend hours watching Lifetime movies one after another. I hate it when I do but I just can't help it.</p> <p>I do like watching the news and almost anything on Food network. Oh, I don't watch Tosh.O religiously but I do watch it when I catch it on.</p> <p>We do have a netflix account but we are just catching up on Nurse Jackie and if I have time (which is hardly ever) I will rent a movie that I want to watch. While LO plays I sometimes catch up on my shows that aren't inappropriate. I watch a lot. Now I watch most of "my" shows during nap times and hubby and I watch "our" shows when she goes to bed. He watches "his" shows when she goes to bed if I come hang out online. I'm also guilty of having it on in the background if she's up and we're just hanging out in the room, like if I'm eating and she's sitting in her bouncer or something. We have a fair amount of shows we watch regularly, but not a ton. I would say we watch 2-3 hours of TV every night. We also have a pair of digital "rabbit ear" antennae so we can watch the local channels if we want to.</p> <p>We choose an older show that we never watched, and watch a few episodes as each Netflix disc gets mailed to us. So far we have watched The Sopranos and 6 Feet Under this way. We aren't up-to-date on the latest shows, but there is a ton of quality television that just doesn't happen to be "current". I have found that when I do care about a show, I'll just wait till the season comes out and either buy or rent the DVDs. Not based on principle or anything, we just didn't have time to watch it. We work all day, go to class some evenings, and do homework the other evenings and all day on the weekends (grad school).</p> <p>So when we moved, we did not renew our cable, and haven't looked back. I can honestly say I don't miss it at all, and cannot think of when I would watch it. Though I am finishing up school I still don't want TV back; I figure there are so many books I want to read, craft projects to do and such. We'll see in the future, but for now we really don't miss it.
