At 5 days she was still losing weight, very dehydrated, and my milk hadn't come in so we began supplementing and we supplemented for her first year. She was above birth weight at her 4 day check up. LO2 was born at 6.4, left the hospital at 5.14, and was down to 5.8 (12% of body weight) at his 4 day check. And he was pretty jaundiced. But my milk had only just come in that morning. So we turned around the weight loss but it still took him 3 weeks to get back to birth weight. She was 6lb10oz and gained a tenth of an ounce her first night. It was a long labor and she already passed meconium before she was born. LO2 lost two tenths of an ounce. He was 7lbs 5oz. She wasn't very big to begin with, and we had some nursing complications, so I ended up supplementing. But both of them lost about 10% of their body weight I think and weren't huge to begin with (DS 6 lbs 15 oz, DD 6 lbs 7 oz).
