School is only 8:30-2:30 with all kinds of half days and holidays and since DH and I both work full time, we need before care/after care/ holiday care. I guess before we were paying something like 3800/month in childcare and now we'll be paying 3k a month. I wouldn't even consider private except that our zoned public school is funded for 26 kindergarteners/class -- and this year at one point thought they were going to have 30/class. Assuming 36 school weeks/year that's $7,200.
