She was there for about ten hours per day. I was sending four bottles of 4 ounces each for the first 3 months. We eventually went to three bottles of five ounces when she could go more like three hours between feedings. Read up in Kelly mom about tips to share with daycares about how to bottle feed a breastfed baby. I have been wondering if they are overfeeding him. I've been giving him 5 oz bottles and he is a frequent eater. Plus, he doesn't sleep well at daycare so he's up more to be fed. One of the ladies who is with him most keeps telling me I"m not giving enough! So I made 6 oz bottles last week and another of the workers said it was too much and, although he takes it, he spits up half. So difficult getting the mixed messages! Are they maybe over feeding? 15 ounces sounds much more reasonable. </p> <p>I did find that once I got used to pumping I was more efficient at it. Keep up the good work. Also I would suggest putting your extra pumping in the morning if you can. How do you all pump so much more than me? LO is 10 weeks and I started back to work 2 weeks ago. I pump 3x at work and get 3-4 oz./ session, if that! I pump at least once more at night but don't get much at all. He is taking 15-20 oz while I am gone so I am not keeping up and have to pump a lot on weekends to play catch up. Anyone experience this that got their supply up? Suggestions? I eat lots of high protein snacks throughout the day (nuts, hummus, greek yogurt, eggs) but am avoiding unhealthy fatty foods and sugar. I got down to one pump at work at around 11 mo(about 4 oz), and I would pump once before bedtime (3 oz) to make up the extra bottle of the 2 that LO needed at day care. I also started dipping into my frozen stash at that point. I got rid of the night pump at 11.5 mo and stopped pumping at work right at 12 mo. Now that LO is on whole milk, I just nurse once at bedtime and once in the morning.
