This is an interesting question. I would say generally I am at peace but my mind is always going a mile a minute. DH always teases me because we will be relaxing or lying in bed and I will bring up the most random things that are on my mind and he will be like "how are you even thinking about that right now". So, I don't know... I feel like I am at peace but I also think... a LOT...? maybe not? :bummed:

I'd say pretty often. Life is good!

Of course we all have ups and downs but I've been through enough to know that you just can't sweat what's out of your control.

I'm not a worrier, so I would say I'm at peace most of the time. Even now, when I have concerns/fears about upcoming birth and new parenthood, I just don't spend most of my time thinking about those fears.

Yup, but I am a very relaxed person in general. Could we be doing better financially? Sure. Could we have a better living situation? Of course. There are a million little things like that, but I don't stress about them, because what's the point? Getting stressed isn't going to change anything!! About once I year I spend a day freaking out about stuff, then realize "well this was pointless" and get over it because there's no point. I'd much rather be at peace and relaxed!

I still get stressed often but I am almost always at peace in my heart, if that makes sense. I think a large part of it was being present when my mother died. It really put so many things in perspective for me. Ever since that moment, I have been so much more appreciative of what I have. I think of it as her final gift to me. It's a weird place to be in because I still worry about so much and get myself all riled up over things, but I can always take a step back and see the sky above the clouds if I need to. I was never able to do that when I was younger.

Don't get me wrong- I have a LOT of problems. But yes, I am at peace. I work hard to keep my mental peace, especially since my dad's suicide. I have become very aware of what it takes me to be mentally healthy (despite whatever is going on) and I work at it. Have to. But I have bad moments and bad days. I just do my best to manage my mind because I have a lot of difficult circumstances.

Such a great question! I feel like I have moments each day where it happens- but they're fleeting. Usually when I'm holding LO or watching him with DH. Mostly, when I first reunite with LO after work - he smiles and I pick him up and he gives me a 'snuggle' buy burying his nose into my arm and putting one arm around my neck.

But, most of the time, no. And that's been the hardest/weirdest part about becoming 'mama.' Part of my brain feels constantly engaged with something. :(

I own my own design studio, and I am thinking about it 90% of the time. I'm usually behind on work, have fired to put out, or I'm thinking ahead.

I also worry about money a lot.

When I'm with my little family, I am usually at peace (unless we start talking about work or money).

Currently I am a little preoccupied about money as things are a bit tight. But apart from that, I am generally very content and at peace since having LO. I used to be a huge worrier, but very little seems worth it any more.

While there's always something...I go up and down. I worry about something, then I'm at peace with it.. We're in a good place now that we're past THE WINTER OF ILLNESS. I have felt a lot better about everything (namely, my career) once I started to put my ducks in a row.

Probably pre-preggo, but I'm a worrier so doubt I was ever completely at peace. I was definitely content at times though and I'll take that! :)

Probably the last time I wasn't worried about ANYTHING was before I found out I was pregnant. But even though I have things I'm worried about (mostly just my job situation, or lack thereof)... I feel like I am pretty at peace in my daily life. I'm doing what I think I need to do about the job situation so I don't really dwell on it. I have moments of a little bit of panic about it but they are pretty few and far between.

In my day to day life, I am pretty at peace, our routine works and sometimes we do have hiccups, but we usually get over them quickly.

I am always anxious though about the long term aspects of things, like money, job security, health...things you can't really control.

Yes, more or less. I'm constantly aware of how lucky my family is and I am conscious to be grateful every day.
I am optimistic and have lots of thoughts every day about things I could do- projects etc. I only take up one in every 100, though  I feel like I am very connected with the world around me and have time to think about current issues and solutions. I also spend a lot of time thinking about my friends and when I'm going to see them and how they are. I catch up with lots of people every week, much more than when I was working. I feel like SAH parenting suits me very well, much more than I thought it would. However, I'm not dreading going back to paid employment either, so long as it's a good fit for me.

Yesterday was my first day back at work and when I came home, I was on edge. Apparantely so was DH. We bickered while rushing around trying to get dinner ready and things done. LO, who usually goes down to sleep in minutes, cried for 1.5 hours.

Last night we talked and decided we need to make it a priority to make our home a peaceful and happy place. LO feeds off our energy so much that it's crucial for our family. So I'm working on putting things in perspective and chilling out. I need to be in a state of peace MUCH more often.
