At that point LO was still generally eating every 2.5 hours but sometimes would stretch to 3- 3.5 and in the evenings would eat more often. He was always an evening cluster feeder.

4 1/2 months here and he usually nurses every 3 hours-- if he is refusing the bottle and nursing more often, I think you are fine!

We were still nursing 8-10 times a day at four months and like @ellewoods84: said, it is quite common for EBF babies to have a slow down in weight gain at 4-6 months or so.

every 3 hours, sometimes more often because i would just nurse on demand.

she's now 10 months old and has JUST started to really pack on weight and I am still nursing every 3 hours on average.

So O baby's weight gain has kind of slowed down also, although I read that it is pretty normal for breastfed babies weight gain to slow (correct me if I'm wrong!) between 4-6 months. I also asked my ped and she didn't seem concerned. We nurse usually every 3-3.5 hours. If she is fussing before then, I will feed her obviously, but she usually isn't hungry until 3-3.5 hours. Sometimes if we have somewhere to go and I want to nurse beforehand, I will attempt to feed her at the 2-2.5 hour mark and she will nurse for maybe 1-2 minutes and then refuse. I just figure, well, I guess she's not hungry and when she is, she will let me know! As long as he's still eating, I wouldn't worry!

LO is 5.5 months old, and we still feed on demand. That usually works out to about 2.5-3 hours, but sometimes, it is closer to 2 hours or so. If you're offering more frequently and he's not hungry, I don't know that I would worry (or rather, the rational part of me wouldn't worry). My thought is, she'll eat when she's hungry if I offer it.

FTM here. LO is 4.5months old. I thought we were in a pretty good routine of feeding every 3-3.5 hours. When we went in for the 4 month ped appointment, he had gained weight but not a lot since month 3. So the doctor suggested feeding him every 2.5 hours and offering a bottle after nursing to see if he is still hungry. The doctor didn't seem that concerned but still the suggestion makes me insecure about how much he's actually taking in.
So I tried this yesterday, and he completely refused the bottle. He also doesn't seem hungry at 2.5 hours.... I don't know what I'm doing!
How often do you/did you feed your LO when he/she was 4 months old?
