I still don't even know what room it was in. I was a goody goody in school and never did anything to warrant a detention. I would occasionally decide I didn't need to be in class but always told my parents before hand and they would call and excuse me. It was only on days when I knew we were watching a video or had a substitute or a study hall and I always had straight A's so my mom didn't care. For something I didnt even do. HA! The teacher thought I left before the bell rang. I didnt. It was in HS and I always waited for my older cousin to meet me. I had to sit in detention and then talk to the principal. Who asked what was up because I NEVER got in trouble. I told him what happened and that he could even ask my older cousin. He was like "This is silly" and tore up the paperwork and appologized I had to sit in detention and wished I would have talked to him first. I was regularly late in the morning but usually got away with it because I was always involved in some sort of club or student council something. If I was late, I would just bring our attendance secretary a coffee and she'd let it slide. Well I marched in late on morning coffee in hand and sitting behind her desk was our Vice Principal because she had called in sick. But, I never did any of them, so I'm not sure if it really counts. At my high school detentions weren't that big of a deal, most of mine were for wearing my sandals wrong, or wearing the wrong coloured socks. First time was for ditching school, other two was for being late. I also had to do P.A.S.S. (positive alternative for in school suspention) for three days because I kinda got into a fight with some guy... I never got in trouble at home for it though. I was late to second period too often because I would wake up with a migraine, sleep it off, and walk to school when I felt better. I was too lazy to go to the office first. My teacher had something to do during my detention so she left and told me to leave whenever, so I didn't even have to serve it. Did you get detention? What will you do if your lo gets detention?
