It lasted for about 5 weeks until 12-ish. After that I only threw up if I tried to drink coffee. The second pregnancy I only threw up a few times, but I took Zofran again to keep from throwing up. It was not nearly as bad as the first time, though. At 25 weeks, I'm controlling it with a constant stream of zofran, but am still gagging with nausea. Crackers, rice, applesauce, and fruit are my mainstays. ETA: I haven't thrown up in two weeks, it if I'm even ten minutes late on my next dose of Zofran I start gagging all over again. I was really lucky and just felt mildly off during the first trimester. I only felt truly nauseous a couple of times. I did however throw up a few times at the hospital after my cesarean (probably had to do with the pain medication). Current pregnancy - threw up at least 10 times a day since 5 weeks. Finally slowed down at 15 weeks, am almost 17 weeks now and I've only thrown up 3 times in the past week. I started with a couple of times a week, then every morning, then multiple times a day. It just kept getting worse over time. I ended up having to get medicine because I was losing too much weight. It was brutal. Double the hormones meant double the morning sickness for me. And even once I got out of the first trimester, between a sensitive stomach and gag reflex plus abdominal pressure and hormones, I threw up a few times a week. Sorry you're having a rough go of it! I needed protein! Try nuts, full fat yogurt or cottage cheese, cheese sticks. Also eat often. I threw up lots but mostly not more the twice a day 6w-18w. It was often dry heaving in the AM before I ate anything. If i ate before barfing in the morning i would just loose my breakfast and have to try to eat again. Gross I know.. I think it is all different for everyone and from one pregnancy to the next. Good luck finding what works for you! With both sticky pregnancies I threw up multiple times a day, daily from about five weeks. And I was on strong medication to try stop it. The nausea would last all day and night. I finally stopped throwing up at about 14 weeks, and the nausea has mainly stopped at 20. I hope you don't suffer too badly! I had the nausea early on but I was plagued by headaches more than stomach sickness.
