Every day with the exception here or there. Never skip more than a day though. He sweats. He loves his bath and it's part of the routine (though we could get by without it). He's so happy in the tub "swimming". I also think he needs it even more since starting preschool. He feels germy to me. My 18 month old has wild hair past her shoulders which ends up with cheese sticks and Cheerios buried in it. She face paints with cream cheese. She's a hot sleeper and tends to get extremely sweaty/ stinky so she often gets a shower in the morning during the summer and I bathe at night in the winter. Partially because year round he manages to get dirty, sweaty and germy. And partially because it's part of his routine and he expects it. He gets upset if he doesn't get one. Now that we have DD and I've been home on leave we've been bathing her at pretty random intervals. I'm not sure what we'll do once she starts daycare in a couple weeks. An infant doesn't get dirty the way an older kid does, but they can still get germy. But it's a PITA to bathe two kids separately. It'll be easier when they can go in the tub together. In the summer we usually bathe daily. In the winter we bathe my older 2 every other day or every third day because my middle son has eczema so we try to keep at a minimum. My poor almost 6 month old only gets a bath once per week. We do a little more in the winter to help ease congestion as needed, but in those instances I don't wash their hair or even soap their bodies more than 1-2x/week. She takes a shower with me every weekday morning, because she can't handle being left alone and my husband leaves super early. On the weekends, and some weekday nights, she gets a bath for fun and to get clean. If she didn't shower with me, I'd aim for every other day. We wash hands after the bathroom and before meals, we wash faces morning and night and I still wipe the 4yo bottom. My 4yo has dry skin, so shampoo and soap dry her out, we live in an area in drought conditions...so it's just not a daily thing for us. If my 4yo requests it, we will do it more often. In summer we do a lot of hose showers, we have an outdoor shower set up, and that's fun.
