I just bought her a Bumbo-like chair with toys on a tray since she loves sitting up, but she's too small to reach the toys. Since it'll take a few weeks before she can use it, I'm planning on buying something little in the meantime. So far, this has been the first time I've bought her a toy since she was born. She's only ever gotten stuffed animals from friends and family, so I feel like I need some catching up to do in that department. She does have a couple Lamaze toys and the baby gym that I bought a long time ago that she kind of plays with. DS had rattles, stuffed animals, etc. and that was it. We waited to buy more because we knew we were moving from KS to HI and all of our stuff would be packed up and we wouldn't have it for a while. He turned one a couple of weeks ago and we bought a bunch of toys for him then. C seems to like her soft toys and her floor mirror best. We have 2 of those big Lamaze carseat toys, a peacock and a robot, and she LOVES them. My son masters those things quite quickly and he moves on from them. Her grandparents live close so they buy her toys, and she got plenty for her birthday. She loves her violet which is the stuffed dog that sings to her, the leap frog lap top computer that I'm always seeing in Mrs bees pictures, and a play table thing. We actually have hardly any toys for DS. Has its ups and downs. All his toys are stuffed, rattles, infant toys, and he has very few. We had a play date today and he LOVED all the toys at their house - I had no idea he would love toys so much. It was so cute. But it's making me consider buying him a few new things. What types of toys do you buy your baby? Do you have an favorites for 6mos+?
