I just did it today, and did it about 2 weeks ago. We don't have laundry in our apartment, but once we move it will get done once a week.

About once a week. Layering makes life so easy! Especially if you have some kind of accident in the middle of the night.

We change them about once a week. DS is a tummy sleeper too. Most of the time we avoid leaks but sometimes not so much.

he still sleeps in his bassinet, but we have a fitted sheet for the bassinet mattress that i rarely change. in the beginning before i knew how to put diapers on a boy properly, i was changing it a couple of times a day! then once he stopped leaking, i;ve only changed it maybe 2 - 3 times in the past 3 months.

Not that often anymore but LO used to leak through his CD's every night too. We switched to Itti Bitti Boo's for nighttime and haven't had a leak since! I highly recommend them :)

Twice . . . ever? Only when she'd leaked or something on it, and she never did that much. I change her sheets on her bed now whenever they get leaked on or something too.

Ahhhh....I've had the same sheet on since November. I guess that's an indication of how much time he actually spends in his crib. Should probably get on that. :)

@MaisyMay: We do have a waterproof sheet pad thing under the normal sheet--keeps the mattress dry but not the sheet. And I have changing pads, but they're fairly small and he rolls a lot (and he'd try to eat them :)

It's not a bother to change the sheets, but layering sounds like a good idea.

Have you looked into putting down a waterproof pad just for nighttime? Also, my MIL recommended that we layer crib sheets and waterproof pads. That way we don't have to remake the crib if there's an accident. If you did this with a few sheets and pads, you could easily go a week or so before starting over.

E has been leaking through his diaper lately (he's a tummy sleeper) straight through his sleeper, sleep sack and leaving a big wet spot on the sheet (only overnight). It doesn't dry by the time he's ready for a nap, so I've been changing the sheet because little dude is not cool sleeping in the wet spot (I mean, I don't blame him). I could just throw it in the dryer while he's awake but if I'm going to take if off I might as well put a clean one on.

I ordered extra inserts to put in his diaper overnight so I'm hoping that will stop the leaks, but then I won't have a reason to change the sheet every day. So how often should one normally change them?
