We just cleaned it out because we're moving soon, and we had so much half-eaten stuff in the back that had gone stale. We use a deep cabinet because we don't have an actual pantry, but we'll have a pantry in the new place, so I'm hoping it'll help us avoid "losing" food way in the back. My MIL sends us a lot of nuts and dried fruits. We never get through all of them so sometimes I have to clean them out. I had a lot of things that I bought for a certain recipe that were buy one get one so I got two.... and then never made that recipe again so the extra can just sits there. I also had a lot of canned veggies that we won't eat because I now prefer fresh, and if I can't have fresh I eat frozen. I found some expired stuff though......I need to clean out my pantry more often!
