They get a thorough scrubbing with brush cleaner about every other week or so. I'm kinda anal about it. I now have some reaaaaaally nice MAC brushes and I'm supposed to wash them, but it's been months and I haven't. I keep thinking about it when I am putting my make up on and yea, I just don't have time to do that right before work! Just think about it: the dirt, oil, and germs build up on your brushes over time and have the potential to cause you to break out. It's overall unsanitary. I should probably do it once a week, but it is a hassle waiting for them to dry. From all the beauty youtube videos out there, I've learned it's okay to use antibacterial dish soap rather than spending extra money for this product. Eyeliner brushes get cleaned with every use (I'm paranoid), eyeshadow brushes when I'm changing colors (every 2-3 days?), and face brushes every week or so. I do it every couple of months and wash them with some baby shampoo. Since having LO though, I haven't done it in a loooooong time. Every time I think about it, it's when I'm putting on makeup and I just don't have the time to do it then. How often do you wash your makeup brushes? And how do you wash them?
