I do laundry once a week-Sundays. 3 or 4 loads for me and DH and another seperate load for LO. It is literally an all day affair.

wow 4 or 5 days? that's nice! we have 5-month olds and we do laundry every day. sometimes more if i have a lot of my own personal laundry. we have our own machine. we don't cloth diaper and we don't always get a full load. i'm pretty cheap with the clothes though - most of the clothes we have were passed down from my SIL and her sis.... so while i may be saving money on clothes, i may be wasting money on water and electricity. haha.

wow! i've never heard of anyone doing laundry each day. and there are so many of you!

it is such a new concept to me. is that something you grew up with and continue because that's your "normal"?

by the way, we do 2 full loads of laundry once/week.

We usually will do at least one small load a day. Our son spits up all over everything, so his clothes, bibs, burp cloths, play mats, and crib sheets are frequently washed.

I have enough I could do at least a load a day. I usually do everything separate (whites, darks, towels, sheets, etc). Our washer is small (a load is three bath towels) so my view is probably skewed.

We also use cloth diapers, but that is a separate twice weekly load.

Prob 2X week? I usually spend a few hours getting a massive amount done. I wash Lo's clothes separately, we do not cd, and we have our own w/d.

We have a 3 month old and we do laundry once day --rare days we skip or do 2 loads. It's not the baby clothes though. I only have a few nursing friendly shirts and he usually ruins all of them in a day. And DH is in the military and his uniform is big and bulky. I am SO happy that we have our own washer/dryer. Our last place didn't and we did laundry every 1-2 days (no baby) then.

We CD, but that is only a small part of the load. I most hand wash them and then just toss them in with the clothes after 3 rounds of handwashing.

ETA I don't separate delicates, darks, whites, baby clothes, camis.... nothing. It all goes together in the laundry machine. My bras get hand washed only, no machine.

3 y.o. and 5 m.o. and we do laundry about 2x a week and we have a huge washer/dryer. Using our old ones it would be 4x a week I'm sure. So glad we got new washer/dyer before #2 came. :)

I have a 10 week old and I do his laundry separately usually twice a week (sometimes only once if he didn't have a lot of spit-up or accidents). He has so many outfits, blankets, bibs, etc that I haven't had to do laundry more than that. For my husband and I, we do laundry probably once a week or so to keep up, though I have enough clothes to probably go a good 3 weeks without doing it!

We have a 2 year old and a 5 month old, and we do clothing laundry daily. We don't cloth diaper, and I do all the sheets/blankets/some stuffed animals weekly.

Every morning, I gather all the laundry and start up the washer. In the evening I switch it over to the dryer, and my husband folds it the next morning. Otherwise, it just gets overwhelming for us, and we have to a lot more time catching up.

I usually do laundry daily! I have one lo and we cloth diaper, I wash those every other day. We have our own washer and dryer, but we still usually have a good size load of laundry to put in. We separate lo's laundry, darks, whites, undies and socks, sheets and towels. Once every couple of weeks I go a day with no laundry. That day is always awesome.

We have 3 kids ages 15,13, and 4. We will be cloth diapering when LO arrives in about 6 weeks. I do clothing laundry everyday otherwise it gets overwhelming. I do all the sheets once a week and all the comforters/blankets once a week. When CD I will be doing diapers everyday also.

My husband and I wash ours at least twice a week and it's usually a pretty full load. Between work clothes, spit up and work out clothes it stacks up fast!
I still wash M's stuff separately and it's usually once or twice a week depending on how many diaper issues at daycare. We do not cloth diaper and have our own w/d.

I have a 6 month old and do a load of laundry most days. We don't cloth diaper yet, but are about to start (I imagine we'll go up to 2 loads a day). Our British washer is much more compact than most American ones, so I think that's part of why we have to wash so often.
(Recently our machine was broken, but because I'm so on top of laundry it wasn't too bad to survive for a week without it.)

For those of you who have kids, how often do you do laundry, and to help me better understand it, can you also include whether you cloth diaper, and whether you have your own washer dryer and if you get a full load every time you wash.

We have one 4 month old, we usually do laundry every 4 or 5 days. we also cloth diaper and so sometimes we wash the cloth diapers on different days from when we wash everything else, it all depends on when our stash starts running low.
we live in an apartment so we use a shared laundry room and usually want to have a good sized load before doing laundry rather than just washing a handful of items.
