I felt SO bad! So I set an alarm on my phone to take them after dinner, and I make sure to never hit the off button until I DO take them. My husband has been great at reminding me too. I cried on the way to work because I thought I was unfit to have a baby and buy a house since I couldn't remember to take my vitamins and was 31 an still overdrafting. Haha. I didn't take them for the last couple of days either because I had a bad stomach virus. But I'm also not pregnant yet - I might forget a lot more then! (They only recommend them for conservative Jewish and Muslim women who are covered up and don't get enough sun exposure.) So I take folic acid every night, but that's it. The midwives said if you are eating a balanced diet, you're basically just wasting money. Any vitamins that you take that your body doesn't need just keep peed away. (i take extra folic acid in the morning and the prenatals & dha in the evenings). i put it in the same box, so when i look at Wednesday, i can see that i took it in the morning (because the folic acid shouldn't be there). So I got one of those days of the week pill dispensers and fill it up on Sunday. I'd say I forget once every two or three months if I'm especially tired/sick/off of my routine. I have days when I dont remember to take mine. The first time I forgot I freaked out, but my doctor said it wasnt a huge deal.
