Our "schedule" is too loose to work around- basically she naps somewhere between 1-2 hours after she wakes up from the previous sleep. I try to be home for her morning nap and then after that it depends. I try to make sure she had a good opportunity to nap most days though- so if we aren't home, I will try to work a long walk or drive around the time she should be napping if I can.

Uhhh... we'd have to have a schedule to veer from. We have a super rough routine based on hours between sleeps, but it depends what time LO gets up in the morning which is still inconsistent. Luckily she's super flexible about when and where she sleeps at 4 months, so I'm kind of just enjoying it.

During the day we have no schedule, she naps at random times/places. At 3 mths this isn't a problem and I couldn't imagine staying at home so she could nap at the same time in the cot each day. The only thing I try and do if possible is to get home for 6pm to do her bedtime routine. Though the past 3 nights we wanted to go out later and we put her down later... not a problem.

I try to stick to a schedule but it's not a big deal if I have to adjust for something that we have to do.

She almost never takes her morning nap anywhere but her crib. She sleeps best there and a good morning nap is crucial to her being in a good mood the rest of the day. We'll have her take an afternoon nap in the car every once in a while, but we really do try to be home for most naps. She's only 4 months old, though.

LO will only nap in his crib, so... never. Ha! Sometimes he stays up later if we're out and about but we're always home for naptime, every time, no matter what.

We pretty much always stick to the schedule. We plan around naptime and bedtime and if it's not possible one of us will stay home. We're pretty strict about schedules because one off day throws DS into chaos.

usually just weekends if we are running a lot of errands or doing something as a family. It doesn't really bother me. We usually head home if DS is cranky and not napping while we are out. He is pretty good going with the flow.. unless it's close to bedtime.

On average, how many days a week or (times a day) do you veer off your LO's napping schedule?

We are usually out of the house on the weekends for sure so DS2 has to take his naps in the car or the Ergo. We have church, or kids birthday parties or just someone's get together that we haven't seen in a long time.

So weekends are almost definite that we will be off schedule at least some part of the day.

Usually during the week, I try to stick to the schedule as much as possible but of course things come up or LO takes a short nap.

How often do you get off schedule and does it bother you?
