But yeah, once my younger one turned around 15-18 months, it was MUCH easier! She does much better being left and they play together. They are 5 yo and almost 2 yo now. I have my eyes on the horizon soo for overnights at Grandma's!! :) We've been going on dates about once every other month this year... Two toddlers can entertain each other, and by that age their routines should be pretty predictable and consistent too, right?? It usually ends up being about 3 times a month but it allows us to go to the store together, out for a treat together, or to the gym together without LO in tow. Its great money spent. I'm guessing our dates will be more like 2-3 times a year. It's too hard to expect one person to watch two kids right now. We just went on our first date since our 2nd baby was born (he's 3.5 months) this past weekend because my SIL was in town... so my MIL and SIL was able to watch them together for a few hours. But truly, we have not been alone together (unless you count when kids are sleeping and we are at home "alone" together but don't have to actively parent, which I totally count, but Mr. T does not) since before Lorelei was born.
