But since having baby 2-- we almost always split the girls and each take one. Neither of us have "gone out" for fun since the baby was born. It included bedtime. It actually went very well. So now maybe once every other month? But actually going out for fun is more like once a month. My bff usually offers to come over when we make plans so that's so much easier! Some weeks it's been up to 4 nights either DH or a baby sister is doing bedtime. When I am home we nurse to sleep with others he gets a bottle and then rocked or a patted to sleep. I like that he is flexible and knows different ways to sleep. I also like that I can get out for work or to see friends. Lo is 8 months and I think DH has been doing bed time pretty often for 3 or 4 months. DH goes out about once per week and I'm closer to once per month. Though, since I'm going back to work in less than a month, I'm getting all my dr and dentist appts out of the way now. We have twins so it's easier to have one of us stay home and the other goes out. We only take both out for dr appts and when we visit friends. I wonder how things will go when I get back to work. I haven't taken the twins out by myself for shopping trips. I usually try to schedule the dinner for 5/5:30 pm though so that I'm home in time for the kids' bedtime! I sometimes go to happy hour after work and he does the bedtime routine solo, though since DD has been in daycare she really wants to nurse once before bed, so this is hard on all of us. I've also done some post-bedtime girls' nights and one concert while DH stayed home. I go to the store/shopping/ect. once a week, he's fine!
