Some meat is higher than most grocery stores, but better quality. I buy our paper towels there and they last so much longer, I ran out and had to buy them at the grocery store before I made it back to costco and the quality was awful (they weren't off brand either!) We use it stock up on basics - canned goods, granola bars, soda and meat - and then I get some of fruits and lunch meats and such there. I'm pretty sure it does save us money, but my food allergies mean I'm immune to many of the impulse snack buys. I think it's a pretty good deal for bulk frozen or canned goods.
