Before kids we used to go once a month or so. I'd rather wait for movies to come out on Redbox, I have a hard time sitting still for 2 hours, I prefer multitasking while a movie is on these days. Since we don't have kids yet, we go 2-3 times per month. We try to limit ourselves to just drama on the big screen, saving comedy and such for Redbox nights. We have an AMC theater about 10 minutes away, with cushy reclining seats; and it's only $6 a ticket for movies before noon on Saturdays. Otherwise we use our grad student IDs to get $7 student prices at Harkins at night. The company sold, and he made sure to buy $200 worth of tickets. We used to go to the movies a lot before kids. Now we go once or twice a year. We still have some tickets left. I went to see malieficent at one with a friend in the fall. That's the only movie I've been too since our son was born aside from a family day showing of Planes that didn't go over awesome.
